15 years ago Musical Fidelity was the first company in the world which used nuvistor lamps for the production of high-end audio equipment - minature, extremely durable, with a casing made of metal, not glass.
Nuvistors were the last stage of tube technology devoid of most of the disadvantages of conventional electron tubes. Their advantages include reliability, low noise level and low microphonic. IT was a golden mean in the audio equipment between the transistor amplifier and a classic tube design. Original nuvistors are no longer manufactured, so the amplifer based on them is an extreme rarity.
NuVista 600 is a dream come true of the founder of Musical Fidelity - integrated amplifier based on nuvistor lamps. In its production is used Surface Mount Design PCB technology and CAD/CAM designing. This way, all signal paths are as short as possible.
